THE SEASONS OF LEADERSHIP
Four seasonal on-line morning retreats, for leaders exploring growth , fulfilment, re-seeding and renewal. Join us for one or all of these spacious, reflective days and explore your current relationship with life and leadership in a supportive and confidential group setting.
Many of our clients tell us they are weary. They made it through Covid, they're still struggling with Brexit and now there are continuous political and global upheavals causing spiralling energy prices and inflation. They tell us their people are tired, anxious and overwhelmed and that, as a leader, they are facing new challenges every day. If you feel like this, we encourage you to take some time out and join one or all of our circles of trust day retreats, in which we help you find the strength, clarity and resilience to thrive. We will share the power of guided reflection and deep listening, and support you as you reflect on and re-commit to your passions and purpose. Using nature, music, art, poetry and more, we will explore compassionate ways to lead and live. It's the human approach to leading, it's leading with love.
These retreats are based on the work of the Centre for Courage & Renewal and also include elements of Coaching Supervision. They encourage inner work and also equip leaders with emotional leadership skills to draw upon within their own workplaces.

Oysters and Pearls Events at Lancashire colleges:
Did you keep a diary when you were in your teens? I did and I still write a journal today - in fact I've got 45 of them under the spare bed! But today I read my diary for March 11th 1975 (when I was 16) and I quote "At break I had my careers interview, however, it didn't help much as she didn't even know what an environmental scientist was!" If you had a similar experience, please come and help us at one of our events and hopefully our female students won't look back at their face-book page or instagram post in 40 odd years time and find they have written something similar.
Our Oysters and Pearls events enable 16 year old girls to meet women who've had all sorts of career journeys and share a day of motivation and discovery. All being well our next Oysters and Pearls events will be in November 2021. We've delivered 9 Oysters and Pearls events over the past 4 years mentoring over 300 young women at colleges across Lancashire. Luckily we managed to deliver 2 events at Nelson and Colne and Accrington and Rossendale colleges just before the lockdown.

Wendy Bowers, Founder of Role and past President of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce says, Our Oysters and Pearls events bring together local successful women with young girls who need a little extra support. The half-day events are facilitated by a Professional actress and are full of motivation, debate and sharing. We want the girls to believe in themselves and their future. Delegates at previous events have said the day was ‘‘life changing’’ and teachers at Preston’s college said they visibly watched the girls ‘grow’ during the course of the morning.
Lancashire is home to some of the world’s most innovative businesses - Whatmore UK, Daisy, Performance Fluids. With your help, we can showcase a whole range of careers and opportunities available to our next generation. We can encourage them to aim high and aim local.
Wendy, is also available for online and F2F talks, presentations and readings of her written works. Please email [email protected] to discuss.
