Evidently today is Blue Monday, the most depressing day of the year. The day when you realise that after 2 weeks back at work, despite all your best intentions and resolutions, basically it's all still just work, stress and bills!
Well that's one way of looking at it, but let's not go there. Instead, let's call this Count our Blessings Monday and think about: The fact that we've got friends and colleagues to have a good old moan to The fact that last week, we were able to look at sunshine on sparkling snow The fact that we all had some good food over the weekend and probably a tipple (unless you're doing Dry January!) The fact that we have a job to get up to and mostly the fact that we live in a safe and ordered society where we and our children have freedom and opportunity. So........no more talk of Blue Monday, 2017 is going to be just fine honest. You might try to get fitter, run that marathon, write that book, walk that 1000 miles (that's my goal) and you might not, but whatever you do or don't do, just take a moment every day to appreciate a view, smile at a stranger, give someone a compliment, tell someone you love them and you'll never have a Blue Monday or any other blue day.
